June 13th-14th, 2017: PHOTOVOLTAIC WORKSHOP – FACULTY

NEATEC presents a FREE, two-day workshop for 2-yr and 4-yr college professors with technology background. This two-day workshop will provide an introduction to photovoltaic nanofabrication techniques and processes. A solar or photovoltaic cell is an electrical device that converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect. Students will also spend time in a clean room. At the end of the workshop, students should be prepared to:

  1. Understand solar cell fabrication process steps
  2. Gain familiarity with cleanroom layout, equipment, safety and procedure
  3. Recognize various processing techniques and material characterization techniques
  4. Evaluate solar cell performance
