January 12-13, 2017: Basic Vacuum Technology Workshop

NEATEC presents a FREE, one and a half day workshop for college students, with particular emphasis in applications and techniques for the Semiconductor and Nanotechnology manufacturing industries.

The program is designed for 2-year and/or 4-year college students participating in a technology program. Recent graduates from technology programs are also encouraged to apply.

A majority of the processes used in semiconductor manufacturing operate in low pressure (partial vacuum) environments. These conditions can enable, facilitate, or speed up etch, deposition, implantation, and other processes. In order to ensure that processing operations are carried out with repeatable results, the vacuum systems employed must be properly operated and maintained.
