NY CREATES and SUNY Polytechnic announce a paid-internship program for technician positions in our 300mm Si wafer cleanroom facilities. Commencing in February, 2021, this program encourages applications from students who will be enrolled in the final semester of a relevant 2-yr engineering technology A.A.S. degree program. Relevant A.A.S. programs include (but are not limited to) Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology. The 14-week internships, located at the NY CREATES cleanroom facilities at 257 Fuller Rd, Albany, NY, will consist of 24 hours/week working with our cleanroom operations team as process operator trainees for 300mm silicon wafer processing equipment.
Interns will be paid $16/hr through an appointment with the Research Foundation for SUNY. The internship work hours are flexible and designed to be compatible with students’ course schedules.
To apply to the internship program, interested students should send: (1) A brief cover letter describing your interest in the program; (2) A resume; and (3) An academic transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) to EGarrett@sunypoly.edu. The deadline for application is January 15, 2021.
Note: Successful candidates are expected to follow all NY CREATES workplace procedures, policies, and guidelines related to COVID-19.
